In 1985 Dan McClure and Antoinette Magaletta opened a jewelry store named One Oak Jewelry in Palmyra, New York. This store would go on to be renamed Rainmaker Designs, producing work in gold and silver jewelry, enameling, jewelry boxes and individually made indoor and outdoor furniture, in their Ontario County studio. Combining their passion and individual talents they hope to produce work that unites elements of technology with art and design.

Twenty-four years later they have transcended to selling one of a kind jewelry and custom made pieces to clients in countries as far away as Australia. Their most recent success came in March 2009 when one of their signature pieces, The Carosello Garden Chair, was presented with the "hottest new product" award at the Rochester Home and Garden Show. The Carosello Garden Chair has also been highlighted in magazine articles throughout upstate New York, they include GardenScape, and Life in the Fingerlakes.
